HEALTH SERVICES DIRECTOR
The Health Services Director manages the health care program and services at Wildwood Hills Ranch throughout the year, by monitoring the health of program participants, staff and volunteers, organizing and providing necessary care, reviewing health histories, maintaining health records and working with local medical personnel.
This is currently a VOLUNTEER year round position.
Specific Responsibilities
Prepare for and actively participate in staff/volunteer training, meetings, and developmental conferences.
Establish and maintain positive working relationship with WHR Health Services Medical Director, Assistant Medical Director and local health care providers.
Develop Health Care Center progress timetable for each season: Summer, Fall, Winter, Spring.
Collaborate in the development of Health Care Center Staff Job Descriptions.
Participate in recruiting and hiring Health Care Center staff/volunteers.
Manage the development and annual review of Health Care Center Policies & Procedures.
Collaborate in the development, training and monitoring of Emergency Response plans.
Develop and annually review WHR Health Care Center (HCC) Manual.
Develop and implement training and skills validation program for Health Care Staff/volunteers.
Assist Health Center staff/volunteers to plan involvement in WHR programming.
Participate in the budget forecasting process for Health Services at WHR.
Supervise Health Care Center purchases of equipment, supplies and medications.
Direct the management of HCC, supplies, equipment, medications, staff & volunteers.
Participate in the Continual Development of Staff (CDOS) program at WHR.
Manage the CDOS for Health Care Staff.
Supervise the development and maintenance of facility, staff and volunteer First Aid Kits.
Collaborate on development of WHR program forms and participant processing and screening.
Supervise and provide care & screening for program participants, staff and volunteers per WHR policies & procedures.
Supervise and manage participant, staff and volunteer medications.
Supervise required record keeping and maintenance of those records.
Supervises staff/volunteer and program participant Health & Wellness.
Develop & oversee Staff/Volunteer and program participant Health & Wellness training program.
Collaborate on the development & implementation of Health & Wellness Quality Improvement.
Collaborate in the development, implementation & monitoring of the WHR safety program.
Engage and value each participant, staff member and volunteer.
Help each participants meet the goals established by the WHR for participant development.
Recognize and respond to opportunities for problem solving in conflict.
Set a good example for program participants and others including cleanliness, punctuality, sharing clean up and chores, sportsmanship, and table manners.
Follow WHR policies pertaining to smoking, use of alcohol beverages, and use of drugs.
Encourage respect for personal property, WHR equipment and facilities.
Manage personal time off in accordance with WHR policy.
Maintain good public relations with program participant parents/guardians and families.
Submit all required reports on time.
Essential Functions
Physical and cognitive ability to fulfill listed responsibilities and apply the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
Current unrestricted driver’s license and ability to drive to clinic or hospital.
Ability to read prescriptions, health forms and health exams from physicians.
Ability to get to remote locations on camp quickly and to lift/assist participants/staff for treatment.
Hearing and speaking ability to use telephone and two way radio communication devices.
Ability to physically & cognitively observe and assess unsanitary, unhealthy or unsafe conditions of facilities and/or property.
Ability to physically & cognitively observe participant, staff & volunteer behavior, assess its appropriateness, enforce appropriate safety regulations and emergency procedures and apply appropriate behavior-management techniques.
Visually and audibly identify and respond to environmental and other hazards related to program activities.
Communicate with large groups of all ages.
Relate with and work with youth ages 8-18.

ASSISTANT HEALTH SERVICES DIRECTOR
This position is designed to aid in training and oversight of the Health Care Center program and staff. This person works side by side with the Health Services Director to help plan and monitor health and wellness at Wildwood Hills Ranch.

MEDICAL CARE PROVIDER
Licensed Physician, Physician Assistant or Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner to provide and direct medical care to staff, volunteers and program participants at Wildwood Hills Ranch.
This is currently a VOLUNTEER position. Opportunities for summer include a few hours to a whole summer working on-site or taking call. Year round opportunities include being on-site for special events or programs.

NURSE

The nurse assists in the health care program and services at Wildwood Hills Ranch (WHR) by monitoring the health & safety of program participants, staff and volunteers, providing necessary care, reviewing health histories, maintaining health records and working with local medical personnel as needed.

The Health Care Assistant aids in the health care program and services at Wildwood Hills Ranch (WHR) by assisting in monitoring the health of program participants, staff and volunteers, assist in providing necessary care, assist in reviewing health histories, assist in maintaining health records and working with local medical personnel as needed.
There are PAID & VOLUNTEER opportunities available for the summer and year round based on education, certification and experience (HCA I, II, III).
Essential Functions
Physical and cognitive ability to fulfill listed responsibilities and apply the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation within the scope of practice for unlicensed assistive personnel and nursing students under the direction of an RN, MD/DO or EMT-PS.
Current unrestricted driver’s license and ability to drive to clinic or hospital.
Ability to read prescriptions, health forms and health exams from physicians.
Ability to get to remote locations on camp quickly and to lift/assist participants/staff for treatment.
Hearing and speaking ability to use telephone and two way radio communication devices.
Ability to physically & cognitively observe and assess unsanitary, unhealthy or unsafe conditions of facilities and/or property.
